The intersection of internet and club. RAVE 2D is a channel that archives mixes by subculture DJs based in Tokyo.
わたしたちは、アンダーグラウンドとインターネットの「狭間」から溢れ出る音を「2次元」に落とし込み、いつでもどこでも聴ける形で残していくプロジェクトです。上野・湯島の小さな地下室からはじまり、東京を中心とした様々なサブカルチャーの現場に足を運び、様々な音楽を収録しています。
We are a project that turns the sounds emerging from the “in-between” of underground and internet into “2D,” preserving them so you can listen anytime, anywhere. It started in a small basement in Ueno–Yushima, and we’ve been going to various subculture spots around Tokyo to record all kinds of music.
ストリートで芽吹いたビーツ、小さな会場で紡がれたセット、次の世代に渡したいプレイリスト——それらを青い光のなかでアーカイブし、インターネットの海へ放ちます。
Beats that sprouted on the street, sets woven in tiny venues, playlists we want to pass to the next generation—we archive them in blue light and send them out into the ocean of the internet.
